You were never meant to be
a "good citizen"
For creative souls ready to stop performing a life that isn't theirs
— and start listening to the voice from within.
Depth-work with Dr. Joo, Ph.D. · California Licensed Psychologist
Dive into Your Unconscious
Most of us become very good at living from the parts of ourselves that the world rewards.
The competent, agreeable parts.
The versions of us that knows how to survive the room.
But underneath the life we consciously built, there is another inner world—made of desires, fears, fantasies, contradictions, dreams, memories, defenses, and parts of ourselves we learned not to know.
My work is an invitation to become curious about that world.
It's built for people who are creative, spiritual, and quietly done living by rules that were handed to them instead of created.
People who sense there's an inner world worth exploring — a shadow, an unconscious, a voice, and a possibility to create a life that feels completely aligned.
I'm a former clinical psychologist who spent years working with patients in psychosis or experiencing early psychosis at big university hospitals.
I left, because the system was built to manage people, not meet them.
What I do now is not clinical therapy.
It's depth work for old souls: individual sessions and group work that draw on Jungian and psychodynamic thinking, spiritual inquiry, and acting techniques to help you access what's underneath the social performance.
Why This Approach
Depth, Not Diagnosis
1
This work treats you as a whole person with an unconscious worth exploring — not a set of symptoms to manage.
Creativity as the Method
2
Coming to this work is itself a creative act - you are choosing to look within and to express yourself.
In the group work especially, we use monologue, improv, and performance — not as theater, but as a way into parts of yourself that talk alone can't reach.
Built by Someone Who Left the System
3
Years of clinical training, without the clinical box.
I know what conventional care can offer — and what it can't.
This is unconventional therapy for artists, by design. It doesn't matter if you've claimed 'artist' as part of your identity yet.
Individual sessions and 12-week women's group are open now.
